REC Meeting #4

  • Pyle Center 702 Langdon Street Madison, WI, 53706 United States (map)

Join us for our fourth REC meeting of the semester, which will be an opportunity to get an inside look at various career opportunities with a degree in real estate from professionals who have leveraged your RE knowledge into diverse careers within the industry! Speakers will include Norman “Norm” Glazer (Goldberg Companies), Ian Stuart (Goldberg Companies), Nikki Kern (Commonwealth), Andre Dyslin (Ryan LLC).

Goldberg Companies - Goldberg Companies, GCI Residential and GCI Construction (known collectively as GCI) is a vertically integrated national developer, general contractor and property manager of residential and commercial real estate. Founded in 1952, GCI began its evolution into a leading development, construction and management firm based in northeast Ohio. Since its inception, GCI has successfully transformed from an Ohio staple with a strong legacy into a national platform with exciting growth.

Commonwealth - Since our founding in 2001, Commonwealth’s core focus has been to improve lives and enhance Communities by providing high-quality housing that is affordable. Commonwealth is one of the nation’s largest, majority woman-owned, affordable housing development companies, and our two principals, Kristi Morgan and Chris Jaye, have a combined 60 years of tax credit experience. Additionally, the Commonwealth Companies’ team consists of highly experienced developers, architectural designers, and construction professionals. This uniquely integrated structure enables more experience and resources for team collaboration, problem-solving, and support throughout all phases of our projects.

Ryan LLC - Ryan LLC are money managers that strive to provide what most investors really want: growth & protection. Most portfolio managers determine an asset allocation plan and then follow a “set it and forget it” or “buy and hold” strategy. At best, they’ll match the markets, both up and down. With increased volatility and risk in today’s markets, that’s no longer good enough. Consider the math: a 30% loss takes a 43% gain to break even. Clearly, risk management matters as much as growth. With iFolios, we actively and continually manage asset allocation in an effort to beat benchmark returns and with less risk.
